Your health

Your Slough CCG is Working to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in the Slough area. Here we give general health advice and support national health campaigns. The advice within this section provides information to support and encourage people to make healthy choices in all aspects of their life. We are all responsible for playing a role in looking after our health and small changes in lifestyle can often lead to huge health benefits.

What is Latent or Sleeping TB?

People with latent TB infection do not feel sick and do not have any symptoms. They are infected with the TB bacteria, but do not have TB disease. TB bacteria can sleep in your body for years.

The risk is that Latent TB can become active and make you ill and infectious to other people.

Winter conditions can be seriously bad for our health, especially for people aged 65 or over, and people with long-term conditions.

Don’t put off the flu vaccination – it’s free because you need it

Residents across east Berkshire are encouraged to stay well this winter and get their flu jab.
